Cold email is free.
That’s the problem.

Free to send = no quality control. Anyone can email a thousand people at no cost, so it's hard to tell signal from noise.

PaidMail makes seriousness legible.

Every cold email carries a number: what the sender was willing to pay to be read. That number is the only signal that can’t be gamed. The sprayers leave. The senders who actually mean it stay. Readers get paid for every minute of attention they grant. The inbox becomes a market for attention again, instead of a slop pile.

How it works↓

A dashboard and a Chrome extension.

The dashboard is your wallet. The extension puts it inside Gmail. The dashboard works on its own; the extension makes sending faster.

Dashboard

Where your money lives. Sign in with your email to fund your balance, track every payment, and cash out.

  • →Add funds by card or bitcoin (Lightning).
  • →See which payments were opened, claimed, or refunded.
  • →Withdraw to your bank or a Lightning address.
The PaidMail dashboard: USD and sats balances above a list of sent payments and their status.

Chrome extension

Where you use it. Attach a payment to any email without leaving Gmail.

  • +Set an amount in the Gmail compose window. It attaches when you send.
  • +Paid emails you receive are marked in your inbox.
  • +Check your balance from the toolbar.
The PaidMail extension popup: USD and sats balances, a recipient field, a choice of dollars or sats, an amount, and an Attach to email button.

FAQ.

Q.01Isn’t this just paying for spam?+

It’s paying for attention, with skin in the game. Spam is free to send, and that’s the whole problem. We make the sender bear a real cost, paid out only if someone actually reads. You don’t owe strangers your inbox. Now they have to bid for it.

Q.02What if they don’t open it?+

After a set number of days the payment auto-refunds to your balance. You’ll never lose money to silence, only to readers, which is the entire point.

Q.03How much should I tip?+

Match the seriousness. A $1 nudge for a 30-second read. A $100 bid for a 15-minute read. The number is the message, and it scales with what you actually want.

Q.04Is this regulated?+

USD flows through Stripe (PCI compliant, KYC where required). Bitcoin (via the Lightning network) settles through our payment processor today, self-custodially soon. Cold-email rules still apply. We are not a CAN-SPAM shield.

Q.05Why both Stripe and Bitcoin?+

Stripe for the credit-card crowd. Bitcoin (via the Lightning network) for the self-custodial crowd. Different rails, same protocol, same point: real money on every send. Self-custodial zap-style sends are next on the table.
